‘Pieces’ is a series constructed by reassembling fragments of analog material, emphasizing the fragmentary nature of memory, the materiality of printed matter and film photographs, and the narrative quality of analog traces. Here, images function as tangible residues of the past, rather than carrying meaning independently, they form identity through their relations to one another. The multilayered structure visually articulates this network of relations as a state of inseparability.

‘Wherever’ series explores contemporary modes of existence in which not only physical space but also non-physical space is extended and networked, through structures where virtual characters, real spaces documented digitally, and virtual environments are intertwined. On transformed canvases shaped like smartphone screens, I depict the screen itself as an image, rendering digital errors such as glitches with airbrushed, smooth and natural gradations.

‘Neighborhoods’ series, unlike ‘Pieces’, which is composed of analog media, does not directly reproduce actual spaces; instead, it recomposes digital images of the same locations found on the web together with virtual avatars. By constructing virtual spaces that contain ordinary real-life scenes (streets,
residential surroundings, objects) and painting digital image errors into these realistic settings, I aim to blur the boundaries between the virtual and the physical.
